About This Event
Paul Webster, owner of Maxim Tours has generously offered to sponsor the 2nd Annual Boston Run for Elephants. Born in South Africa, he designs customized safaris to Africa. Maxim Tours planning and support are unequalled in the industry. (https://www.maximtours.com/about)
This year’s 5K run/walk benefits several non profits. Race proceeds and additional donations directly benefit 'Elephant Aware' in Kenya, an 'on the ground' project that seeks to protect elephants through anti-poaching patrols and human-elephant conflict avoidance by locally trained Masai rangers. We also urge participants to consider joining an associated Crowdrise Challenge Campaign and direct your donations to benefit the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee or donate to the Non Human Rights Project through our facebook page -
https://www.facebook.com/BostonRunforElephants/?modal=admin_todo_tour . Thank you for helping to protect these gentle giants!
This is an event for everyone, a 5k Run/Walk is a chance for you to run, push a stroller, jog or walk your way around the beautiful Chestnut Hill Reservoir while raising awareness and valuable funds for elephant care and protection. This run/walk builds on the momentum begun by similar runs held recently in L.A., London and New York's Central Park. Please join our herd of incredibly dedicated runners and walkers on October 6.
Bibs, timing and photos of individual runners are provided by your RaceWire registration.
Organized by volunteers from Massachusetts for Elephants, the Boston Team of the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos and the Tennessee Elephant Sanctuary. Visit www.massachusettsforelephants.com for more information.
Elephants never forget, let’s not forget elephants!
