About This Event
The Kiwanis Club of Everett, in collaboration with The City of Everett, Carmine, Amata and Giuseppe Matarazzo and the Cataldo family, is conducting the 2nd annual Walk For Ersilia and hope you will consider joining us once again. This year’s Walk will be a virtual 5K culminating on October 3, 2020. Last year’s inaugural Walk was very well supported by the community and beyond. As a result, three scholarships; the Ersilia Cataldo Matarazzo Memorial Scholarship, the Ersilia Humanitarian Award and the Ersilia Service award – each $1500, have been endowed and were awarded for the first time this past June to three deserving EHS graduates. Also as a result of the immense support of the Walk For Ersilia, The Ersilia Cataldo Matarazzo Stabilization Program was established at the award winning non-profit organization Portal To Hope, which provides comprehensive services to those in our community impacted by domestic violence. This year we will be adding a third focus around the issue of food insecurity and will endeavor to provide financial support to our local food assistance programs.
Course
All participants may walk the 5K route of their choosing! Please complete your walk by Oct 1 and take a picture of yourself walking and tag the Everett Kiwanis Facebook Page! Have fun!
Prizes and Surprises!
Throughout the registration period and as photos are tagged to the Everett Kiwanis Facebook page, prizes will be randomly awarded and recipients will be informed by telephone and/or email. Surprises will also pop up along the way and all registrants will be notified through the Kiwanis Facebook page and Event Website.
50/50 Raffle
A 50/50 Raffle will be held again. Tickets are $50. Please contact Jerry Navarra at 617-784-7718 to purchase. Live drawing will be held at 12 noon on October 3, 2020 at Everett Kiwanis Facebook page and on ECTV.
