SAME DAY REGISTRATION - STARTS 7:30 AM Saturday
We closed online registrations you YOU CAN REGISTER IN PERSON SATURDAY STARTING AT 7:30 AM. Our event is rain or shine! 5K kick off is at 9 AM and Fun Run for kids is at 10 AM. You can walk too!
About This Event
The Somerset Berkley Education Foundation is excited to announce its kickoff event, a 5K Road Race and 1 Mile Fun Run, to benefit students and teachers in Somerset and Berkley!

The Somerset Berkley Education Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, provides grants to educators for programs that further creativity, innovation, and excellence in Somerset and Berkley schools. Founded by community members dedicated to investing in the future, the Foundation's goal is to enhance and enrich the education experience for all students by empowering and supporting teachers and staff in their projects. The Foundation funds projects and initiatives that supplement educators’ work, bring curriculum alive and that inspire our students to inquire, adapt, persevere and innovate. By partnering closely with the community and school districts, the Foundation aims to fund teacher-led initiatives that fall outside school budgets.

Course
The 5K course will follow scenic Riverside Avenue along the Taunton River. Participants may run, walk or jog. The 1 mile Fun Run for Kids will be around Pierce Beach Park (not on roads).
Awards
There will be cash awards for overall winners (first female and first male), medals for age group winners, prizes for first male teacher and first female teacher winners, and team prizes!
All participants in the Fun Run for Kids will receive a medal.
Event Details
Race day check-in begins at 8:00 A.M.
Registration will also be accepted on Race Day starting at 8:00 A.M. (cash or check).
Fun Run starts at 9:00 A.M.
5K starts at 10:00 A.M.
T-shirts will be provided for all entrants registered by September 27, 2019.
