About Bailey’s Team for Autism...
Bailey's Team for Autism is a regional non-profit organization raising funds and awareness in support of individuals living with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Founded in 2001 and incorporated in 2008, we have raised over $1 million contributing over 90% of all funds raised with a focus on research, education and programming. We have supported projects nationwide, but our concentration is in New England - more specifically, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
About the Run...
Our 5k is a professionally measured and USATF Certified fast, flat course and encourages good race time! It starts and finishes in front of Schneider Electric at 38 Neponset Avenue and will continue right onto Chestnut Street then onto Mechanic Street and up Baker returning to Chestnut and Neponset back at the start. For those avid southeastern, MA runners, this is also a favorite course measured for the Run for Diabetes in late May, early June.
About the Walk...
The WALK route is 1 mile from the run start at 38 Neponset Avenue. Participation is FREE but registration is required! You may register on site where ALL walkers will be required to sign a waiver (adults must sign on behalf of their child). [You may walk the whole 5k race route, HOWEVER, we will be well into our after-party at Waxy's by the time you return and encourage you to "Run the Run (route)" or "Walk the Walk (route)!"
Who gets a T-Shirt?
T-Shirts are FREE and guaranteed to the first 150 registered RUNNERS.
