About This Event
Join us for the Rutland Police 5K-9 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00am. Race will begin and end at the Glenwood Elementary School, 65 Glenwood Rd, Rutland, MA 01543.

Participants are encouraged to run with their four legged friends (dogs only). Open to all runners and walkers. Please, no aggressive dogs.

Join us at the finish line for an after-race gathering. There’ll be K-9 education and police K-9 demonstrations. Fire trucks, emergency vehicles, vendors and music will be on hand!

Beer tent from Seven Saws Brewery and lunch from Off the Hook will be available after race.

Plenty of parking is available at the Glenwood Elementary School.

Rain or Shine, we’ll see you there! Register early, prices go up one week before race day! Online registration will close at 6pm on May 6, 2021. Race T-shirts are included in the registration fee BUT ARE ONLY GUARANTEED TO THOSE THAT REGISTER BY 4/26/21.

Bib pickup will be on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5-8pm at the Rutland Police Station, 242 Main St, Rutland, MA and on race day at the Glenwood School starting at 9am.
Course
This 5K course will begin and end in the Glenwood Elementary School driveway and will take you through some of Rutland's most beautiful farmlands and down the scenic Massachusetts Central Rail Trail. Begin at 65 Glenwood Rd, left turn onto Glenwood Rd, Left turn onto the Rail Trail, continue southbound on Watson Ln, left turn onto Main St, left turn onto Glenwood Rd, turn left to finish on Glenwood Elementary School driveway.

Awards
Trophies will be awarded to the following:
Overall 1st Place 5k - Male & Female
Overall 2nd Place 5k - Male & Female
Overall 3rd Place 5k - Male & Female

Awards for the Top 5K finishers in the following age categories, male & female:
1-12
13-21
22-39
40+

All race finishers will get a prize. There will also be prizes for winning runners with dogs!
