About this event
In an effort to adhere to social distancing measures while keeping the tradition alive for the 10th annual Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk, we are taking this year's event virtual from September 20th-September 27th, 2020.

What does a virtual run/walk mean? Participants will have one week (from 8:00 am on September 20th, 2020 to 9:00 pm on September 27th, 2020) to run/walk the 5k or 1 Mile wherever you'd like. Remember to time your run/walk and submit your results via the google form found in your registration confirmation email.

In addition, we encourage you to share photos of your run or walk by emailing them to crcroadrace@gmail.com or sharing them to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/charlesrivercenterroadrace. (Be sure to "like" the Charles River Center 5K Run/1 Mile Run Facebook page, which will enable you to post your photos.)

All proceeds of the Charles River Center 5K Run/1Mile Walk will benefit over 950 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by the Charles River Center. All abilities welcome. To learn more about the Charles River Center please visit: www.charlesrivercenter.org
Where Do I Run/Walk?
Participants will have one week to run/walk the 5k or 1 Mile wherever you'd like. You can run or walk anywhere, indoor on a treadmill or outside on a 5k/1 mile route you know. (You may even want to use USATF's route finder to find a certified 5K route close to where you live: https://legacy.usatf.org/routes.)
How Do I Track my Distance and Time my Run?
We accept results on the honor system, so you can track your distance and time however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available for iPhones and Android devices (eg, Strava, Garmin, Map My Run).
Can I use Social Media to Publicize my Run?
You bet! Show the online world your effort, take a selfie, share your racecourse, and your story. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #crc5K. And please share your photos with us either by emailing them to crcroadrace@gmail.com or sharing them to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/charlesrivercenterroadrace. Be creative - send us photos of you at a decorated finish line, screen shots from running apps like Strava or Map My Run or your smart watch, group shots and Team Photos etc.
T-Shirts
The first 300 entries will receive free T-shirts. You will be notified if you are eligible to receive a t-shirt.
Will there Be a Post Race Party?
We're planning a virtual post event on September 28th. Details will be posted as they evolve.
