In-Person / Virtual Participants Options
-This race offers BOTH In-Person and Virtual Participation
-Walkers & Runners Welcome
-Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for children 17 or under
-In-Person Participants: please arrive between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM to register and obtain bibs.
-Virtual Participants: Instructions for reporting times will be emailed to participants who select the virtual registration option.
-Virtual Participants are welcome to use our race map or run a 5K course of your choice.
In-Person Instructions / Guidelines
-In-Person Participants: Arrive between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM for registration and bib issuance.
-Social distancing will be practiced during the event including registration, start and finish and during the race.
- Masks to be worn by participants during registration and after crossing the finish
-During the event, observers and volunteers are asked to practice social distancing including the use of masks, when required.
-Participants will distanced in groups and start times recorded successively as each group starts. Volunteers will assign you to your respective start-group.

Waiver: I hereby declare, assert and affirm that participation in the BPS / Become Part of the Solution 5K Run/Walk is done having voluntarily and knowing assumed ALL RISKS involved in this Special Event. The immediate physical risks and hazards associated with normal, vigorous physical activity include (but are not limited to) physical discomfort, fatigue, muscular soreness, falls, pulled or strained muscles, overuse injuries, heat stress, and the rare instance of abnormal responses of the cardio-respiratory system including heart arrhythmia, heart attack, stroke, and sudden death. In consideration of acceptance of this contract allowing my participation in the above stated Special Event and intending to be legally bound thereby, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, WAIVE AND RELEASE any and all rights and claims for negligence, injuries, damages or losses that I may incur against all participating agencies involved in the above stated Special Event, specifically BPS/Become Part of the Solution, Union Congregational Church of Christ Inc their respective employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, for any and all activities connected with the above Special Event. I also understand that I do hereby WAIVE any and all rights or benefits under the State of CT Worker's Compensation laws for any injury incurred as a result of my participation in this event, including disregard of the posted route.
