This year, Natick Service Council needs our friends and neighbors more than ever. Due to these unprecedented times, instead of the traditional Fall for Natick Dinner & Auction, we will be holding our first ever virtual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk.

NO CROWDS: With everything going on today, you can socially distance yourself and stay safe.
SLEEP IN: No waking up early on a Sunday morning. You can run/walk any time you want!
HILLS: You get to choose your route and determine how many hills you want to climb!
WEATHER: Planning to run/walk today, but the weather isn't cooperating, run/walk tomorrow!
FAMILY: Run/walk as a family. We are all spending more time with our loved ones, so get outside, get some exercise and have fun as a family!

How does a virtual race work? Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions!
Where Should I Run/Walk?
You will have two weeks to run/walk the 5k or 1 Mile wherever and whenever you want. You can run or walk anywhere, indoor on a treadmill or outside on a 5k/1 mile route you know. (You may even want to use USATF's route finder to find a certified 5K route close to where you live: https://legacy.usatf.org/routes.)
How Do I Track my Distance and Time my Run?
We will be accepting times by the honor system, so you can track your distance and time however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available for iPhones and Android devices (eg, Strava, Garmin, Map My Run).
Can I use Social Media to Publicize my Run?
You bet! Show the online world your effort, take a selfie, share your racecourse, and your story. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #NSC5K. And please share your photos with us by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org or sharing them to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/natickservicecouncil.
Anyone who registers by September 30th will be guaranteed a t-shirt! T-shirts will be first come first serve for those who register after September 30th.Pick up will be at NSC offices on Friday October 9th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday October 10th from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
