29th Annual WAMDA 5K Run/Walk
March is National Nutrition Month. To celebrate, the Western Area Massachusetts Dietetic Association (WAMDA), a non-profit organization, will be hosting our 29th Annual 5K Run/Walk virtually from March 1 to March 9, 2022 to support The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
You can participate from anywhere at anytime between March 1 and March 9. Just run or walk your 3.1 miles and submit your time to us.
Prizes will be awarded for top runners in Male & Female categories.
Helping Our Neighbors in Need during COVID-19
COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on food insecurity throughout our nation. We at WAMDA want to do our part in helping with this problem by making this year's race and donation to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts our biggest yet. Last year we were able to donate $10,000 to the Food Bank and it would be amazing to top that!
This year we are asking you to not only participate in our 5K, but to help us fundraise money to help our neighbors in need. A portion of your race fee and all money raised through individual fundraising efforts will go directly to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

Virtual Race - How Do I Track my Distance and Time my Run?
If you are doing the virtual run we accept results on the honor system, so you can track your distance and time however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a running GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available for iPhones and Android devices.
Please submit your results using the link found in the confirmation email you receive after you register for this event. You will have from 3/1/2022 through 3/9/2022 to submit your results.
T-Shirt Information
Register by 2/1 to guarantee your t-shirt size, participants registering after 2/15 are not guaranteed a shirt.
Shirts will be mailed out approximately a week prior to the race dates along with Sponsor samples!
