Event Information
What Is the Co-op 5k?
The Co-op 5k serves as a major fundraiser for the Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF). CDF is a non-profit foundation with a national and international focus on community, economic, and social development through co-op enterprise (www.cdf.coop). Monies raised through the event go to support cooperative development nationwide.

The 2022 Co-op 5k will honor Chuck Snyder, a longtime supporter and board member of CDF, and a cooperative hero. Chuck was part of the fabric of cooperatives and an enthusiastic supporter and NCB team member of the Co-op 5k. CDF will recognize his work and contribution by incorporating the words he lived by into the Co-op 5k race - “do well to do good.” CDF will use funds raised in Chuck’s honor through the race and other efforts to honor him by doing well to do good, especially for people and communities in need as he did.

FAQs
If I register for a virtual ticket, when can I run?
Participants will need to walk or run anytime between April 23 at 12:00am to April 29 at 11:59pm. Participating during this timeframe will allow for us to compile results, pictures and videos in time for an awards ceremony and recap of the in-person race on May 4.

Will I still receive race materials if I participate virtually?
Virtual participants will receive their t-shirt in the mail. Make sure to register with the address you want your race materials sent to. Register by April 4 to be guaranteed a t-shirt in your desired size. Participants that register after April 4 will receive a large t-shirt.

When can I expect race packets and t-shirt?
Race packets will be mailed out starting on April 11.

If I sign up for virtual race, can I still run with people I registered with?
That depends on where you are, your comfort level and if you practice proper social distancing rules. But if that’s all good, sure!

How will my time be recorded for the virtual race?
You will record your own time – it is the honor system. Use a GPS tracker device (phone, watch, etc.) to record your time. Snap a picture when you're done and send to us.

Where will I submit my results?
Send your proof of time directly to Race Wire.

Where will I submit my pictures and/or videos?
Send your pictures and/or videos to Kirstie Boyette.

How do I download the playlist?
A link will be emailed to all registered participants one week prior to the start of the race.

Will there be individual prizes given out?
The logistics of a virtual race don't allow us to send out individual prizes, but don't fret because eternal bragging rights will be captured on video for all to see. In-person participants will be eligible for individual prizes.

What group award categories are there?
There are three - Fastest Team, Highest Fundraisers, and Most Team Spirit

How do I watch the awards ceremony?
A link will be emailed to all registered participants one week prior to the start of the race.
