About this Event
Why Rock your Socks? On March 21, the world celebrates Down Syndrome Day. On this day, we show our support, love, acceptance and awareness for individuals born with Down Syndrome by wearing crazy socks. So why not wear them in a run and show our support as we rock the course? The goal of this run is to provide an opportunity for individuals with Down Syndrome to dream, think and do the impossible! It allows them the opportunity to cross a finish line and be part of a race! It also gives the families of these individuals the motivation and desire to set healthy goals, and be examples of living a healthy lifestyle. In addition, it provides an opportunity for the community to get involved and come to know these families and individuals in their community. Through it all, there will be greater acceptance and love for individuals of all abilities! So grab your craziest socks and get ready to run!
**At the completion of this event, each pre-registered participant will be given a pair of crazy socks to be worn on Down Syndrome Day, March 21. We hope to see a lot of crazy socks worn on this day as we show our love, support and awareness for these individuals.
