About This Event
The Newton South Booster Club Lions 5K is a fundraiser to support Newton South High School athletics and events and activities that build South and community spirit. The race is open to the public and runs through the streets surrounding Newton South High School.

All runners (and walkers!) receive a FREE t-shirt and raffle ticket with their registration before May 5th, 2022. After May 5th, 2022, limited t-shirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Participants can run as individuals or as part of a team (a South team or one they create). Race prizes will be awarded in many categories, including Best Lion-themed costume.

$35 Adult
$25 Youth and High School students

Race day registration will open at 7:30am. Race day registration fees:

Course Description
Starts at Newton South High School on Brandeis Road. Turns left onto Greenwood Street. Then right onto Dudley and up a small hill after which it turns right onto Brookline Street. Then it turns right at mile one onto Hartman Road, then a steep downhill followed by a gradual uphill, across Greenwood before taking a right onto Meadowbrook, around the rotary, past mile two and a water station at the Oak Hill Middle School, and onto Wheeler Road. At the end of Wheeler, the course turns right onto Parker Street, right again onto Roosevelt, then left back onto Brandeis, past the front of the school and right into the small parking lot near where it started.
