Pick up and Registration
Friday evening August 19th, 6-7pm and
Saturday morning 7:30-8:15am
Race packets including bib and t-shirts will be available for pick up and last minute registration (no t-shirts will be available for last minute registration).
Registration after July 20th will not come with guarantee of a t-shirt.
Course and Awards
This fun and challenging course will start at The Community Church of N. Orange and Tully and weave down Creamery Hill Road for the first shady mile. Turning right on Tully Road the course meanders through shade and sun on mostly flat track to mile two, where you will find your first water stop near Royalston Road. Continue on and turn right on to Mill Pond road, past the Fire Station, and....yep, this is where the UnFair comes in....UP Royalston Road. .4 miles of...HILL. ( Royalston Road will be open to motorized traffic for the duration of the race, please be mindful of yourself, cars, and other racers). Then a right turn onto Athol Road/Main Street, up a small hill and back to the Church where you will find more water, treats, goodies, final prizes (awards at 9:30 in Goddard Park), AND The Village Fair!! Stay and enjoy The Village Fair (begins at 10am)!! Goodies, Craft Tables (please let us know if you are an artist and would like to reserve a table at the Fair), Music, Lunch, and more!!!
Participant Waiver for Race Registration:
I know that running [volunteering for] a road race is potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but no limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, the steep 1/2 mile of Royalston Road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Village Fair UnFair 5K, the city of Orange, MA, and the Road Runners Club of America, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
