Event Information
A Safe-Driving Initiative
The Hummingbird Run is a 5K/10K Walk/Run/Longboard event to promote safe driving. Created to honor the memory of Elizabeth Giordano, who lost her life in a distracted driving crash, this event brings the community together to commit to driving responsibly.

TIME AND LOCATION

This year marks the Hummingbird Run's seventh year and will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, during National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds on Emerald Street in Wrentham, Massachusetts. Free parking is available on site.

You can register to walk or run the 5K, to run the 10K, or to longboard the 10K.

BIB PICK-UP

Pre-registered participants may pick up their race bib the day before the race from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds, or prior to the race on Sunday, April 30, beginning at 8 a.m.

RACE DAY ACTIVITIES

Race Day activities for the whole family include fun entertainment, an exciting raffle, yummy food, a brief schedule with several speakers, and beautiful medals for winning participants in selected categories. Race timings are managed by RaceWire. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome.

Free t-shirts and goodie bags for the first 200 registrants! (Note: We have reached 200 runners so this feature has now expired.)

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

This event is organized by the Elizabeth K Giordano Scholarship Fund, which manages several scholarships including $1,000 scholarships awarded at the race from a drawing of all participating high school seniors. Must be present to win. When registering here, High School Seniors should choose one of the categories for High School Seniors to ensure they will be included in the drawing.

ONLINE and IN-PERSON REGISTRATION

Online race registration will close at 9 p.m. on Friday, April 28.

On Saturday, April 29, in-person registration and bib pick-up will be available the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds from 2 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, April 30, just prior to the race, in-person registration and bib pick-up will be available starting at 8 a.m. at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds.
