Event Information
About This Event
The Kiwanis Club of Everett, in collaboration with Mayor DeMaria and the City of Everett and Carmine, Amata and Giuseppe Matarazzo and the Cataldo family, is conducting the 4th annual Walk For Ersilia in honor of our beloved member and Vice President, the late Ersilia Cataldo Matarazzo. Our aim is to raise awareness and provide help to the problem of domestic violence and the resulting devastating consequences, especially for women and families. All proceeds from the Walk will go directly to the Ersilia Cataldo Matarazzo Memorial Fund by Everett Kiwanis, a 501(c)(3) public charity. This fund will support victims advocacy programs that provide comprehensive services to people in our community whose lives have been directly impacted by domestic violence. One such program is the award-winning non-profit Portal To Hope. This Fund also makes a firm commitment to Everett students, annually awarding four $1500 scholarships in Ersilia's name to Everett students with demonstrated community service.
We are honored to have District Attorney Marian Ryan give remarks.
