8AM: 5K Run and Walk starts at the bottom of Long Branch - Garland Neighborhood Park, 8601 Garland Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20912

5K Wave Start
8:00 am Start
- Wave 1: 10 minute mile and faster
- Wave 2: Over 10 minute mile, runners with strollers in the back
- Wave 3: Walkers

Race Location
Long Branch Garland Neighborhood Park (8601 Garland Ave.) at the head of Long Branch trail.

Race Information
Strollers and baby joggers are allowed at the back of Wave 2. No skates, bikes, or pets permitted.

Proceeds from the race fund future community events for the Long Branch Business League.

Parking
Parking is available at the Long Branch Community Center. Parking is limited so you are encouraged to walk, cycle, or use the bus. Many bus lines service Piney Branch in front of the Long Branch Community Center.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the organizers of the Discover Long Branch 5k Walk/Run, the Long Branch Business League, the City of Takoma Park, Montgomery County, RaceWire, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purposes.
