5K for 5 KING
Annual 5K for 5 KING benefit run, in honor of our fallen brother, Officer Ricardo "Ricky" Galvez. This event is sponsored by the Downey Police Officers' Association and Friends of the Downey Police K-9 Foundation, both of which are 501(c) Non-Profit organizations.
Event Information
Pre-Registration fee is $40.00
Day of registration fee is $45.00

6:00 am - 7:00 am Registration
7:00 am - Warm Up (Premier Fitness)
7:15 am - National anthem
7:30 am - Run/Walk begins
9:00 am - Closing remarks
9:00 am - 11:00 am Vendors

Participants will receive a commemorative 5K Dog Tag and event shirt.

In consideration of this entry acceptance, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators waive any rights and claims for damages against the county of Los Angeles, the City of Downey, Downey Police Officers' Association (DPOA), Friends of the Downey Police K9 Foundation, The Downey Promenade, The Downey Landing, RaceWire, and any individual or organization associated with the 5K for 5 KING event for any losses, injuries, death sustained by me in the event. I hereby certify that I am in good condition and am able to compete in this event. I will additionally permit the use of my name and pictures in broadcasts, telecasts, newspapers, brochures, etc. and I also understand that the entry fee is non-refundable. As a participating athlete I certify that all information provided in the registration form is true and complete. I have read the entry information provided for the event and certify my compliance with my waiver acceptance below.
