32nd Anniversary Lakewood Run 10K/5K

I fully understand that my participation in the Lakewood Community Run event exposes me to the risk of personal injury, death or property damage. I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event and agree to assume any such risks. I hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue the Los Angeles County, Los Angeles County Sheriff�s Department, the Lakewood Sheriff�s Station Community Run Committee, the City of Lakewood, The Macerich Company, The Macerich Partnership, L.P., The Macerich Management Company, Macerich Lakewood LLC, All owned, managed, controlled, non-controlled and subsidiary companies, corporations, entitles, joint ventures, limited liability companies and partnership and all of the constituent partners and members. Soroptimist International, and all representatives and agents of any of the foregoing, and all municipal agencies whose property and/or personnel are used, and other sponsoring or co-sponsoring company(ies), agency(ies) or individual(s) for any injury, death or damage to or loss of personal property arising out of, or in connection with, my participation in the �Event� from whatever cause, including active or passive negligence of the foregoing, or any other participants in the event. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the �Event�, I hereby agree, for myself, my heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless the foregoing from any and all manner of actions, claims, causes of action, suits, debts, demands, damage, liability or expenses of any kind and nature arising out of or in connection with my participation in the event. This event is not L.A.S.D. sanctioned, therefore not covered by Workers Compensation in the event of injury or illness. It is the responsibility of L.A.S.D members to comply with Department Policy, regarding participation in athletic events (MPP #3-09/300.00). I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT IT IS A FULL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY AND SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
