Brief Description
Celebrate Independence Day with a scenic run along the Pacific Ocean and enjoy our 30th Annual 4th of July 5K Run/Walk and Firecracker Dash at 8:00am! All participants will receive an Independence Day run t-shirt. There will be chip timing, age division awards, and cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run. All kids dash finishers receive medals too!
Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
Race packets will be available for pickup the following dates and times:

Monday, July 3rd: Noon to 6pm at the Village Runner in Redondo Beach
Tuesday, July 4th (race morning): 6:30am on Catalina Ave. near Palos Verdes Blvd.

The Firecracker Dash for the Gold heats are separated by age groups and start approximately at the times listed below.

9:30am Ages 8-9, Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:40am Ages 6-7, Distance: 1/4 Mile
9:45am Ages 4-5, Distance: "Dash"
Giving Back
Celebrate and give back to our local students. The Village Runner Independence Day 5K directly benefits the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools and running programs. A portion of YOUR registration fee from this race goes to these deserving groups each year.
