The Gardner Domestic Violence Task Force is happy to announce it's first Annual Purple Paws Walk. The walk will take place at the Pulaski Playground and Dog Park in Gardner, MA and everyone including your four legged friends are welcome! The registration will open at 9am to allow for pre-registered walkers to pick up their giftbags and for day of registrations (day of price will be $30). The walk will begin with mass start at 10am, each individual can walk at their own pace and will receive a small prize for every lap around the park. Walkers are encourage the walk the full hour, but can stop at any point. We hope you stick around after the walk for other fun activities (see bellow). All funds raised by this event will go directly to support the Purple Paws Foster Project. This pet fostering project was created to help support victims of domestic violence by assisting them and their pets, who would otherwise be left behind when the victim decides to leave their abuser. In many cases pets are the reason victims delay leaving their abusers, keeping themselves in often dangerous situations. Pets are like a family member, and it's difficult to leave them behind. This carries the same emotion. The Purple Paws Foster Project enables those looking for refuge to leave and know their pets are safe. Voices of Truth has taken on this project as a 501c3 organization who services victims and survivors through support groups and referrals.

I expressly INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the City of Gardner, their elected and appointed officers, agents and employees from any and all liabilities or claims made by me or my organization/group, my/our heirs and any other individuals or entities as a result of any of my/our actions in connection with my/our participation in this event except for those claims arising from the sole negligence or sole willful misconduct of the City, their officers, employees, volunteers or other representatives. Such indemnification includes liability settlements, damage awards, costs and attorney fees associated with any such claims.
