About the Program
NOTE: All Sprint teams are FULL. All age 11-14 teams are FULL. The Distance Running Only team at 9:15 is FULL. There is the most availability in Age 5-6 at 10:40, age 7-10 distance with field events at both 9:15 and 10:40 and distance running only at 10:40.
The Needham Track Club Spring Track Program is open to children age 5-14. The program meets on Sundays from April 2 - June 11, 2023 at DeFazio Track in Needham. There are two sessions to choose from: 9:15 - 10:20 am and 10:40 - 11:45 am. Children age 7-14 can choose a sprinting group or a distance group.
The weekly sessions include warm up, stretching, running drills, sprinting and distance training, hurdles, field event technique building and warm down. Field event training will be available on events such as long jump, shot put, standing triple jump, and turbo jav. Children are placed in small groups where they remain for the entire session. We will hold sessions on Sundays (exceptions: May 21 - Great Bear Run, May 28 - Memorial Day soccer tournament).
The season tuition includes an NYTC Spring Program T-shirt, all sessions, and a registration to the Great Bear Run road race on May 21.

I absolve the NEEDHAM YOUTH TRACK CLUB and all volunteers, coaches, officials and members, Town of Needham, and USATF from liability and will not hold them responsible for injury to my children, me, my family, or any guests I sponsor. This includes, but is not limited to, collisions and interactions among children and adults, injuries due to contact with the facilities or equipment, or to weather conditions. I give approval to my family’s participation in the Spring Track Program. All family participants are in sound medical condition for on-field activities. I understand that medical insurance is not provided. My signature authorizes the use, without compensation or any further consideration for any photographic product (picture, film, or video) generated at this program or associated meets. SecureFee™ Registration Cancellation Insurance is offered in most states. If purchased, your registration may be covered for one of the covered reasons stated in the policy.
