Event Information
5K - In Person
NYU Department of Physical Therapy presents the 13th Annual 5K Benefit for the Foundation of Physical therapy to support physical therapy research. Every March the NYU Doctor of Physical Therapy Program hosts a 5K in New York City to benefit the Foundation for Physical Therapy, an independent non-profit organization. In the past 40 years the Foundation has provided $20 million in doctoral scholarships, postdoctoral fellowships and research grants to physical therapists. The research funded by the Foundation provides clinicians with new approaches to guide treatment strategies and promotes continued innovation within the profession. Whether it be for a patient with a traumatic brain injury, a child with cerebral palsy, or an injured runner hoping to compete again, the Foundation is an incredibly important part of providing patients with the best rehabilitative care possible.
