About The Clark Earth Day Mile
The Clark Earth Day Mile is brought to you by the Clark Cross Country Team, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Clark Athlete Inclusion Committee, and the Environmental Action Club. The Clark Earth Day mile hopes to cultivate community through sustainable movement. We are proud to partner with Girls on the Run, Columbus Park Elementary, and WooCares. Proceeds help fund the Clark Cross Country team and provide meals for the Worcester Fridges! Girls on the Run and Columbus Park students are invited to run free of charge!

Heat Organization an Schedule
All heat starting times are subject to change. A preliminary schedule will be sent out the week prior to the race.
9:00 AM: Under 8, Quarter Mile Race (untimed)
9:15 AM: 11 & Under Youth Mile
9:30 AM: Heats of the mile starting fastest to slowest
11:30 AM: Walking Heat of the Mile
SWAG
Each participant will receive a reusable water bottle in an effort to decrease single use plastics.
Virtual Racers
Virtual participants will be able to upload their times to a google sheet for up to 48 hours after the race date. Virtual racers will not be considered for awards, however they will walk away with bragging rights for the year!

We have some great prizes donated from On, Track Smith, Prime Time Sports, and Marathon Sports!
Post Race Snack
A post race snack will be available to all participants, thanks to the generosity of Wegmans!
I hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily and freely elected to participate in this program/activity (Program). I
understand and agree that Clark University and/or its representatives assume no liability in the event of accident or
illness, nor for damage or injury to person or property of any nature whatsoever from my participation in this Program.
Clark University shall not be responsible to any person for my acts or omissions.
I acknowledge that I am aware of the possible risks, dangers, and hazards associated with my participation in the
Program, including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury to myself or others. In participating in this Program, I
voluntarily and freely assume all risk of accident, injury, or illness and damage to/loss of property. These risks include
but are not limited to the following:
a) the risks associated with travel to and from location(s) to be visited during the Program, including
transportation provided by commercial, private and/or public motor vehicles
b) the possibility of bodily injury including broken bones, soft tissue damage, emotional distress, and even death
incurred while transporting to, or participating in the Program
c) risks of participating at the Clark University Cross-Country Mile Race including (but not limited to) trips, slips,
strains, sprains, allergic reactions, cuts, etc.
I, for myself, my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue
Clark University, its trustees, officers, employees students, and agents and indemnify them from liability for any and all
claims resulting from personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property damage or destruction
arising from, but not limited to, participation in the Program including injuries sustained as a result of the negligence of
the University.
I agree to wear appropriate clothing and shoes as necessary.
I understand that Clark University encourages Clark University students to check their personal liability insurance and
medical coverage to make sure they are covered for any programs and activities they participate in. SecureFee⢠Registration Cancellation Insurance is offered in most states. If purchased, your registration may be covered for one of the covered reasons stated in the policy.
