Due to the phenomenal interest in this year’s 5K we have had to turn off registration earlier than expected. We want to thank you all for your support for our veterans and their families. We are looking forward to a fun filled day on Sunday, November 4, 2023. Although registration is closed you can still support veterans by going to our website and donating at Home - Veterans Inc. Or come cheer on the participants, the day of the race, by waving an American Flag along Shrewsbury Street in show of support.

About This Event
We are excited to invite everyone back to participate in the 2023 Run4Veterans 5k Road Race/Walk with Veterans Inc.! We look forward to a fun morning of activity in support of Veterans and their families in need. Registration begins at 8am. Help us do more for the Veterans we serve while enjoying downtown Worcester! Run to win, walk for fun, but most importantly sign up and have fun for a good cause! All Fitness Levels and Strollers Welcome!

All Pre-Registrants will receive a commemorative event running shirt, and all participants will enjoy food, beer, music, prizes, and more after the race. If you can’t make it in person this year, we are offering a virtual sign-up option as well! Just run a 5k before the deadline, submit your times, and we will recognize your participation and honor the virtual winner alongside the in-person honorees.

Pre-Registration and Day-Of Sign-Up is now CLOSED
Because of the early support of runners like you, we have closed ALL forms of registration.

Packet Pick-Up:
We will be hosting an early packet pickup the day before the race. This will be held at Sneakerama located at 12 Lake Ave, Worcester, Ma 01604 from 10am-2pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023. We strongly encourage early pick-up as we have over 450 runners!

T-Shirts:
T-shirts will be given out at race packet pickup or day of the race. If you registered prior to 10/16/23 you are guaranteed your shirt size. If you signed up 10/16 and afterwards we will do our best to get you your shirt size, however, sizes are not guaranteed.

Check-In/Drink Ticket:
The day of the race there will be a check-in tent we will also be checking id’s for drink tickets and selling raffle tickets. Anyone age 21+ will be given two wristbands indicating you are eligible for one free beer from Wormtown Brewery after the race. Upon ordering your drink your wristband will be cut off and you are free to purchase additional drinks on your own.

Chili/Pretzels:
Wormtown Brewery has kindly donated chili and pretzels for after the race. This food will be located in their taprooms and available to participants.

Opening Ceremony:
An opening ceremony will take place at the starting line and fan out for all to fit at 10am. We will be recording a “Wake Up Call” with WCVB which will be televised on channel 5. The opening ceremony will also include the star-spangled banner, opening remarks, etc. All participants should be in place by 10am; with a race start time of 10:30am.

Awards Ceremony:
An awards ceremony will begin at 11:30am in the Wormtown parking lot. We have a winners podium and trophies for the top 3 placements in each category. We encourage all to gather and participate in this exciting portion of the post-race festivities!



Band:
The Midnight Riders will be entertaining us with their musical talent post-race and post-award ceremony. They a band from Rutland, MA, and they play a mixture of their own originals and older classic rock.

Porta Potties/Restrooms:
Porta Potties will be available in the Wormtown Brewery parking lot prior to the race and the duration of the day. Wormtown Brewery restrooms will become available after the race.

I understand that bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and animals are not allowed in this race and will abide by this prohibition.
