About the Event
The 15th Annual Lansdowne on the Potomac Turkey Trot and Fun Run will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023. In keeping with tradition, the funds raised from this event will be directed towards supporting two impactful non-profit organizations, A Place to Be and HopeCam, both of which play vital roles in uplifting and assisting the community. The total proceeds will be allocated and contributed to these causes.
The races will start and finish in front of the Potomac Club at Lansdowne on the Potomac 43459 Riverpoint Drive, with the 5K starting at 8 am and 1K Fun Run starts at 9am.
Registration fees are $20 for the 5K | $10 for the 1K.
The first 500 registrations will receive a premium, long-sleeved race T-shirt (applicable for both 5K and 1K categories), a chip-timed bib (exclusive to 5K entrants), as well as a non-chip bib, and a race participation medal for those in the 1K category.
Registration closes on Sunday, November 17, 2023. There will be NO RACE REGISTRATION on race day.
Race packet pickup will be from 9 am - 6 pm on Tuesday, November 21, and from 9 am-2 pm on Wednesday, November 22, at the Potomac Club 43459 Riverpoint Drive, Lansdowne, VA 20176. Please plan to pick up your race packets in advance to ensure enough time for all participants to make it to the start on time on Thanksgiving morning.
Please note that race day personnel are primarily volunteers and will be on-site by 7 am. Please arrive early. Your patience is appreciated.

Awards
The top three male and female finishers will each receive visa gift cards as follows: 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, and 3rd place $50.
5K Course
From Potomac Club head towards circle on Riverpoint to Upper Belmont, bear right down the hill (Upper Belmont Place) past Riverside HS, bear right at the circle, down the hill and circle the entire conference center perimeter, and turn left on Charlena Beth Drive, past the football field and bear right at the Circle and up the hill (upper Belmont) to the circle and Left onto Riverpoint for the homestretch, which is relatively flat, to the Potomac Club.

To provide an opportunity for neighbors, families, and friends of all ages to come together and participate in a fun, healthy event while supporting local non-profit organizations and making a difference in our community.
This year, we will support two non-profits doing meaningful work supporting the community. All proceeds will be divided and donated to A Place to Be and HopeCam. By participating in our event, you're enjoying a great run and helping these incredible non-profits make a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.
A Place to Be offers therapeutic and expressive arts programs, providing solace and support to those facing life's challenges.
HopeCam tirelessly strives to bring joy and connection to children battling serious illnesses through the magic of virtual experiences.

Parking
Curbside parking is available throughout the Lansdowne on the Potomac neighborhood, in the open parking lot at the Potomac Club, and in the outdoor swimming pool parking lot on Coton Farm Court. Road closures will be in effect along the race route before and shortly after. Please see the race route below and plan accordingly.
No parking is permitted on Riverside Parkway or at any of the area Loudoun County Schools. Please refrain from parking in resident-designated parking areas, i.e., Townhouse parking.
