Getting Started
People need their pets, and pets need people – people like you who believe in a world where services that support the human-animal bond are accessible to all. Fundraise for Animals
Dakin's incredible volunteer-run Kitten Street Team rescued a little kitten, named Beanie, and her siblings before a winter storm in January 2022. This was the same year that Dakin's first-ever Will Run For Cookies 5k was held. It was in honor of Beanie that participants raised money- to help keep more kittens like her warm and safe.

While Beanie now lives comfortably with her adoptive family, there are many more kittens that need our help. By fundraising for Dakin you can continue to help us care for kittens. Read about a 2023 rescue of a kitten named Bombalurina

Your fundraising efforts helps raise critical funds to help kittens, like Beanie (and Bombalurina), find a warm place to call home.

And, by raising just $100 you'll earn your own Dakin beanie hat that displays your compassion for animals!

In signing this entry I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release anyone sponsoring, sanctioning, or managing this race and their representatives from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. If the runner/walker is under 18, I certify that I am the legal guardian or parent and am agreeing to the above terms.
