ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Heather's Way SUNSHINE 5K WALK/RUN is in memory of Heather A. Woods. Heather was run down and killed at the age of 6 by a 17 year old drunk driver on a Sunday morning on Birch Street in Pembroke. Heather's Way will allow other children and their families to enjoy sporting events and programs under Heather's name. NOTE: NO ONE will ever get paid as being part of Heather's Way. All peoples affiliated with Heather's Way are volunteers. Heather would have been 36 years old on June 3, 2012. This year is the 30th Anniversary Heather has been gone.
Course
The course is going to be at the Pembroke Police Boys Club. You will take a RIGHT out of the PPBC travel down Center Street. Cross over to Littles Ave and take a RIGHT on to Allen Street. Go to end cross over Center Street to High Street. Travel down High Street take a RIGHT onto MOUNTAIN AVE. Take a RIGHT back to CENTER STREET and proceed back to the PPBC. This is a rolling course.
T-Shirts
Heather's Way is ordering 250 shirts for this event. The first 250 people to register will receive shirts. Sizes are first come first serve. We will have COLOR CHANGING waterbottles for all other participants. The first 250 will receive both.
PRIZES
Cash Prizes will be awarded to OVERALL WINNERS. Age Categories prizes will be awarded too.
