Quarter mile fun run and games for children 8 yrs and under

On-site registration and number pick up begins at 4 p.m. Number pick up is also available for advance registrations between 6 - 8 p.m. on 5/7 and 5/8 at Wally's Wicked Good Ice Cream, 419 Lexington Street, Auburndale, MA 02466

About Wally's Wicked Good 5K
The 3rd Annual Wally's Wicked Good 5K is dedicated to the prevention of Melanoma--with all proceeds going to the Melanoma Foundation of New England.

Melanoma is a deadly, yet highly preventable form of skin cancer. The mission of the Melanoma Foundation of New England is to save lives by reducing the incidence of melanoma. This year alone, over 10,000 people in this country will die from this disease: that’s one person every 50 minutes. Young adults between the ages of 18 - 29 are the most susceptible population of this disease.

May is Melanoma Awareness month, and the ideal time to remind everyone of the importance of protecting against overexposure to the sun during spring and summer activities.

I know that running is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter or run this event unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver, and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Race Organizers, the City of Newton, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. All fees are nonrefundable. I also allow my name or photo to be posted in the results in various media such as newspaper, periodicals and the web.
