Their affordable lockers rentals come in two sizes, small ($4, 9”x9”x6”) or large ($8, 12”x12”x12”). Blue Trailer is fully staffed, insured, and conveniently parked near the start line for you!
Virtual Gift Cards
You may buy an entry to either the half marathon or 5k race in 2014 for another person by selecting the Virtual Gift Card sub-event. If you buy a Virtual Gift Card you are NOT registering for a race yourself. When you buy a Virtual Gift Card you will be sent an email that includes a unique promo code that can be given to another person who may then register at their convenience. The email will include a PDF file attachment with instructions and the promo code. You may print the Virtual Gift Card or email it to the recipient. The Virtual Gift Card must be redeemed prior to race day on 7/13/14.
Wave Start
A Wave Start process will be used in 2014 to facilitate a more efficient and convenient race day experience for all participants. This process is necessary because a large field of runners is anticipated and due to the presence of bottlenecks on the course. During the registration process half marathon runners will be asked to submit their expected pace. Every runner will be assigned a start wave before the race. On race day each runner will need to seed themselves in their assigned start wave corral. In general the fastest runners will be seeded first in the corral (wave #1) and the slowest runners will be seeded toward the back. A wave will consist of approximately 500 runners. Each successive wave will be separate by approximately 3 to 4 minutes. A start mat will be used to keep track of the precise moment that each person crosses the start line and to calculate their total time.
Cancellation Policy
Although rare sometimes races must be cancelled due to unexpected unsafe race conditions – i.e. Hurricane Irene 8/28/11 and Sandy 10/30/12. If there is an event due to an Act Of God — i.e. hurricane, lightning, dangerously high heat and humidity (Wet-bulb globe temperature index >82 degrees F — government shutdown, or a state of emergency is declared by municipal authorities the race will be cancelled. If the race is cancelled due to a situation that is beyond the race director’s control it will not be postponed and no refunds will be given.
Deferral Policy
If you cannot attend the race for any reason you may request a deferral of your base entry fee and merchandise purchases (not including online processing fees) to the next year. You must send an email to erik@justgiddyup.com by 6:00 PM (EST) on Sunday 6/15/14 to request a deferral. Your name will be removed from the public participants list when the deferral is processed. You will be automatically registered in the 2015 event with no further action required by you.
Refund Option
We realize that life happens and sometimes it’s not possible or advisable for runners to participate in a race. Sometimes runners suffer injuries while training, learn that they’re pregnant, get called to perform military duty, lose a job, or must attend to a family emergency. Sometimes races get cancelled due to Acts Of God – i.e. hurricane Irene 8/28/11 or hurricane Sandy 10/29/12. Our Refund Option is like registration insurance that protects you if something unexpected happens after you register and you want your money back.

If you register for the half marathon race the refund option will cost $10. If you register for the 5k race the refund option will cost $5.

If you purchase the Refund Option you may request a refund of your base entry fee and any other merchandise purchases. Online processing fees and the Refund Option cost are not included. For example, if you registered for the half marathon on 12/31/13 and purchased a shirt and a glass mug your total cost would be $55(base) + $10(option cost) + $12(shirt) + $5(mug) +$4.25(online fee) = $86.50. If you request a refund you will receive $72 ($55 base +$12 shirt +$5 mug).

You must purchase the Refund Option at the time of registration. Refund Options cannot be purchased after you’ve completed the online registration process. You must exercise the Refund Option no later than race day. Requests for a refund must be done in writing by sending an email to erik@justgiddyup.com. Processing may take up two weeks. Refunds will be credited to the credit card that you used at the time of registration. No cash or checks will be sent. Refunds will be processed by Racewire, our online registration provider. If the race is cancelled you may request a refund.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be offered unless you purchased a Refund Option at the time of registration.

We take our shirts very seriously and only want to offer something that runners will appreciate. We are pleased to offer short sleeve, men's and women's, moisture-wicking performance fabric shirts made from 100% recycled polyester. The shirts perform like typical moisture-wicking polyester shirts, but use 70% less energy to produce. Each shirt is produced by using 8-12 raw post-consumer plastic bottles. The shirts are made by a Brunswick, Maine-based company, Atayne that is committed to making products that are safe for both human health and the environment. These shirts are produced from fiber to finish in the US and are reviewed by a third party to guarantee environmental and human health standards. Runners must buy their shirt by June 9th, 2013, in order to be guaranteed the desired size on race day. Orders may be placed after this date, however sizes cannot be guaranteed we will do our best to forecast the number of shirts needed after 6/9. Shirts must be claimed by a runner or their designee at one of the pre-race packet pickups or before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Shirts not claimed after this time will be forfeited.
