Event Information
5K and 10k Start Time is 8AM. Race Finish Time is 9:30AM
Please be aware that the Pride Run is Sunday, the day of the Pride Parade.
All Participants in the Long Beach Rainbow Pride Run must cross the finish line by 9:30AM as the parade will start at approximately 10:00AM. 5K walkers and 10K runners must finish within 90 minutes of the 8:00AM race start time. The 10K race is for runners only so we can adhere to our 9:30AM race completion time.
If you are planning on participating in the Long Beach Pride Parade you will have more than enough time to join your group in the line up or find your friends in the stands.
Free Race and Parade/Festival Parking
Free race participant parking is available in the Junipero Beach Parking Lot until capacity is reached or until a pre-race time of 7:00AM. Access the parking lot from Broadway, then turn South on Junipero St. and drive across Ocean Blvd. to the parking lot access road, volunteers will guide you into the parking lot from Ocean Blvd.
NOTE: You will NOT be able to drive down Ocean Blvd or Cherry Avenue to access this parking lot on Sunday morning due to street closures for the parade.
WARNING: You will NOT be able to EXIT this lot until after the parade at approximately 2PM. However, you may keep your vehicle in this lot for free until 10PM so you will have free parking for the parade and festival.
All vehicles must exit this parking lot by 10PM Sunday night, May 19th or the city may ticket/tow them.
If you plan to leave the race start/finish line and parade area after the run, you must find alternate parking that is North of Ocean Blvd (Ocean Blvd is used for the parade route).
Chip Timing
Shoreline Fronrunners is pleased to provide Official Race Timing by RaceWire. The chip will be part of your race bib. Please be aware that you must run across the chip timing device at the race finish to record your time and be eligible for an award.
Pride Rainbow Run
Pride Rainbow Run participants have the opportunity to end the race with colors of the rainbow via party leis, color bracelets and other items. To participate, just go through the rainbow stations along the route. If you do not want to participate, with race time being your primary goal, just run/walk past these stations.
This portion of the run is proudly presented by Students Advocating for Change.
NOTE: This run is NOT a Color Run. The city of Long Beach WILL assess a fine of $35,000 minimum to anyone who leaves a color substance on the sand or in the Ocean along the race route.
Packet/Shirt/Bib Pick-Up/Gear Check
Late registration and participant check-in will begin at 6:45AM. Race bibs, goody bags and T-Shirts will be handed out at check in. Check in will be located in the grassy area in the Junipero parking lot. You may check your "Goody Bag" with the race team near the check in area. We will not be checking any other items, please leave those locked in your vehicle.
Race Award Ceremony
The race award ceremony will begin at 9:30AM on the bluff at Junipero and Ocean. The ceremony will be part of the Pre-Parade activities taking place near the main parade bleachers. This will include the awarding of medals for the top winners in each age category.

Individuals may make a donation with the proceeds directed to the beneficiaries as part of your registration. Enter $25 or more in the Donation field during as you complete the registration form. Donations made by 4/15 will have your name printed on the back of the Rainbow Pride Run event T-Shirt (if you wish to remain anonymous, select that option as part of the donation process). Thank you for considering an additional donation.
Team Registration
This year we offer registrants the option to designate their friends, co-workers or other organization to register under a team name. Enter your team name when prompted during registration.
Note: All members must enter the same team name (spelling counts so if it is not entered the same by all your team members, they could end up on a team of their own naming).
