Race Description
Scott was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, having previously served in Fallujah in 2005. He was killed in action as a result of a roadside bomb on the morning of April 2, 2006 in Ramadi Iraq.
Race Details
Start Time: 8:00am sharp
Race Day: Pickup and Race Day Reg. will be open at 6:30am at race site. The race will start on Central St. and finish on Taylor St.
Course Details
The 5k/10k will start at the same time. The course is a combination of flat roads/rolling hills. The 10K will have two water stops and the 5K will have one.
Custom Shirts
Do not hesitate to register as ONLY the top 400 runners (both races combined) will receive a custom race shirt (gender specific) .
Awards
Overall Male & Female in each race, Top three in each age group in each race, Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+, Top Three M/F Team Scott Runners in each race.
CPL Scott Procopio Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the fund is to provide educational scholarships and assistance to deserving members of area schools, and to provide educational scholarships and opportunities to the children, siblings and spouses of members of the United States Armed Forces who have been killed in combat operations.
We have been awarding annual scholarships to graduating local seniors in memory of Cpl. Procopio since 2006, with over $40,000 in scholarships awarded to date.

If you have a personal connection to Scott or one of his family members or would just like to make an extra donation please register on Scott's team. The Top three M/F Team Scott Runners in both races will receive an award. 100% of the extra donation will go into Scott's Scholarship Fund.
