Covers the same spectacular 3.1 mile course as the 5K, just at a more comfortable pace - yours! Take your time and enjoy the sights along the way.
The Kid's Races
Kids 12 and under get their own day in the sun. Separate races for every kid age and gender division ensure the fun. The "criterium style" course out and around the Hermosa Pier makes for awesome viewing and cheering. Finisher medals to all kids.
The 5K
The cloverleaf course means you can run AND see your fellow runners several times while you cover the coolest coastal town around. Go for your personal record.
The Best Little Race in Southern California
Come discover why the Hermosa Beach 5000 is unique. Some races claim to be "by the sea," but only the HB5000 is entirely ocean view with the last half mile over the water itself as you charge up and down the Hermosa Beach Pier. Race, run, babyjog, or walk the 5K, then stay and watch the action as the youngsters tear through their individual races. Cool down by enjoying the legendary Hermosa Pier Plaza hospitality and spend the rest of the day by the Pacific Ocean on beautiful Hermosa Beach. Something for everyone!
Course Description
The flat, fast, cloverleaf course is designed for speed AND spectators. You will tour the quintessential California beach town, including Pier Plaza, the world famous Strand, and an exciting finish down the Hermosa Beach Pier. Mile markers, split timing, and kick markers ensure your best effort.
