This 5K road race (9:00 am Start) and kids fun run (8:30 am Start) event has been established in memory of Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel 2.12.14, to benefit the Joe Andruzzi Foundation with a portion being donated to the Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship.

ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON JUNE 26TH, BUT THERE WILL BE DAY OF REGISTRATION FOR THE SAME ENTRY FEE OF $35. After June 24th, T-shirts for the Run Like a Maverick Road Race are not guaranteed, although extras have been ordered to accommodate as many as possible.

The Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship:
Description by the Montrose School of Medfield, MA.
"Our own Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel ’16 was called home to God on February 12, 2014 after a yearlong struggle with brain cancer. Elizabeth is loved and remembered at Montrose as an outstanding student, athlete, sister and friend.
At the Schickel Family’s request, a scholarship has been established in Elizabeth’s name. The Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship Fund now exists so that other young women will be able to experience the Montrose education that Elizabeth held so dear."

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. In registering for this event, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that this is an organized event and I will abide by all rules of the race and listen to all event representatives. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, Alexander Associates Inc., all sponsors, the organizers of this event, and the town of Walpole, MA, as from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that refunds are at the discretion of the event directors up to June 1st, following June 1st refunds will not be extended.
