About This Event
Welcome to the Inaugural Stigma Busters 5K Fun Run/Walk to Benefit the International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF)! Join us in supporting IBPF in funding research, providing support services and raising awareness for mental health during our Inaugural Stigma Busters 5K event at Kit Carson Park on October 25th. We are excited to announce this brand new event for an amazing cause.

You are encouraged to invite friends and family to join us and register for the event and support our efforts to raise funds for IBPF. You are also encouraged to personally fundraise with us and have the option to have your own fundraising website. You can create your personal fundraising website by visiting HERE .

Because our event is so close to Halloween, we will be having a festive costume theme to our 5K event. Please come dressed in your costumes!
About Our Charity
Bipolar disorder affects approximately 5.7 million adult Americans, or about 2.6% of the U.S. population age 18 and older every year.

The mission of International Bipolar Foundation is to improve understanding and treatment of bipolar disorder through research; to promote care and support resources for individuals and caregivers; and to erase stigma through education. For an explanation of the disorder or for further information, please visit www.ibpf.org.

We run or walk to raise awareness for those who struggle with a mood disorder, and for their friends, family and loved ones. Bipolar disorder does not discriminate. It affects people from all backgrounds and walks of life, from our youth to adults. Rich or poor. Successful or not. But every affected person can live a full, productive and enjoyable life. It is up to us to spread awareness through activism, through sharing our stories and donating our time to help others.

We run or walk to speak for those whom feel silenced from stigma, to dispel myths and fear surrounding mental illness. We run or walk to raise money to provide services for families and communities in need, to help fund research so that we can better understand how to help each other. We invite you to join us in our fight against stigma on October 25th and participate in the Inaugural Stigma Busters 5K.

Join us in our mission by creating your personal fundraising website for the event HERE.
