About This Event
3rd Annual Piggy's 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday November 22, 2014 starting at 10:00a.m. in Waltham at Leary Field, 19 Athletic Field Rd. This race is in loving memory of a wonderful man that we suddenly lost 3 years ago. Paul (Piggy) Logue was born, raised and a lifelong resident of Waltham. Paul loved the Waltham community and therefore we thought this was fitting to raise money and give back to the community through the Paul Logue Charitable Fund. This course is a fast fairly flat 3.1 miles (5K). The course is paved, therefore strollers or baby joggers are allowed on the course. This year the race is proud to be part of the Race Around Waltham Series (RAW) which encourages support of all Waltham races and promotes friendly competition by tracking runners, walkers and volunteers who participate in nine Waltham races for additional prizes. Runners and walkers welcome -- tell your friends and bring the kids! Post-race party will be held at City Streets, 249 Lexington street in Waltham immediately following the award ceremony. Please come and help us celebrate our third annual run in Paul (Piggy) Logue's memory! Food, raffles and fun!!
Course Description
The event will begin at 10:00am sharp! Race will be starting and finishing at Leary Field, 19 Athletic Field Rd., in Waltham. The course is a fast, fairly flat 3.1 miles (5K). The course is paved, therefore strollers or baby joggers are allowed on the course. In addition for safety purposes no skateboards, roller blades/skates, bicycles, or animals can be taken on the course. Also note, this race will officially end at 11:15am Therefore, anyone that is not finished at that time will need to follow traffic rules and regulations. Police officers will be done directing traffic after 11:15am.

Race Day Infromation
NOTE: We strongly encourage you to register on-line prior to race day. Registration will close online on Thursday November 20th at 7:00 pm. You can still register Friday night 4-9 pm at City Streets, 249 Lexington Street, Waltham Ma. Bib pick up will also be at City Streets from 4-9pm. We strongly encourage you to pick up your bib and your friends bibs Friday night!! Thanks!

NOTE: For those that will go beyond 11:15am time you will need to follow traffic rules and regulations ie: using sidewalk and and using crosswalks. We look forward to seeing you on race day!
