About This Event
The 5th annual WOW 5K Run for Wilmington and 5K Kim Forte Walk is an event that honors the town of Wilmington and is dedicated to the memory of Kim Forte. We celebrate Kim’s life by running and walking the neighborhoods she so loved. Join us in 2015.
When to arrive & start
Registration and Sign-in - 8:45 – 10:30 AM Walk Begins - 10:45 AM Run Begins - 11:00 AM Sign-in and race day registration will take place at the 4th of July Headquarters building @ 142 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington, MA.
About WOW
Join us in raising funds for WOW, a group founded with the simple yet powerful purpose of helping, however possible, local individuals and families in need.
The Course
The course takes you through the streets of Wilmington on a familiar route that has been part of many events over time. There are slow building inclines and declines throughout the course. The race begins next to the Wilmington Town common on Rt 62/ Church Street. You will head north on Rt 62, then: Right onto Wildwood St Left onto Woburn St Left onto Federal St Left onto Middlesex Ave Finishing where you started, next to the town common
Registration
Online registration closes on Friday, April 24th. Fees Runners/Walkers (age 16 and older): Pre-registration - $25.00 postmarked by April 21, 2015 Race day - $30.00 Runners/Walkers (under 16) Pre-registration - $15.00 postmarked by April 21, 2015 Race day - $20.00 WOW will be donating $5/adult and $3/child registration to the Wilmington non-profit of your choice. You can choose this during your registration. Registrations will be accepted in person on race day, but we encourage you to register in advance. Checks must be made out to Women of Wilmington. All cash orders are exact amount only.
T-shirts
T-shirts will be given to participants who register by Friday, March 27th.
Race Day Parking
Parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Fourth of July Building. Wilmington High School is currently under constuction, there is NO parking available at Wilmington High School. Also, please DO not park at Abundant Life Church or St. Thomas of Villanova, as both churches have Sunday services. Please do not BLOCK either of these locations, you will be towed.
Number Pickup
Numbers will be available for pickup on Saturday April 25th and on Sunday April 26th. Details to follow. Every participant will have an RFID timing strip attached to their number. Your time will be recorded with the aid of the RFID strip. You must wear the number to be timed and scored.

I acknowledge that photos may be taken race day and that my image may be used in future race promotions. Lastly, I acknowledge t-shirts are available to those registered by March 27th and if registered after that date I am not guaranteed to receive a shirt.
