School Ghoul Los Alamitos 10k, 5k Run and Kid's Festival of Races Liability Waiver: I know that running a road race is potentially hazardous activity which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but no limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, and headsets or headphones are not allowed in the race and I will abide by this guideline. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the School Ghoul Los Alamitos, the City of Rossmoor, and the County of Orange, and all sponsors, exhibitors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. With the full knowledge and appreciation that walking, jogging and running can be a hazardous activity, I assume all risks associated with participation in School Ghoul Los Alamitos 10k, 5k Run and Kid's Festival of Races and hereby forever release, waive and hold harmless School Ghoul Los Alamitos and its board members, the sponsors, the volunteers, and officers, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any and all liability or responsibility for injuries and/or property damage which I may sustain during the event or during my travel to or from the event. This waiver and release covers myself (including all heirs, executors, administrators and assigns) and is given in consideration of School Ghoul Los Alamitos acceptance of my registration/entry into the event. In addition I agree to defend and indemnify School Ghoul Los Alamitos from any claim or action filed by a third party due to my actions in this event. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my name and likeness in any broadcast, telecast, video or print media reporting or advertising of the Event without compensation from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I also attest that I am physically fit to participate in the School Ghoul Los Alamitos 10k, 5k Run and Kid's Festival of Races. Further, I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the event.
