WELCOME AND WELCOME BACK!
Join us for the 4th Annual Boston Strong 2.62 Mile Benefit Walk and 5K Run! We have something for everyone from our 2.62 Mile Walk and our newly added 5K Race to our FREE Kids Run. You can participate as an individual or bring some friends along and create a team! As always, we will have an awesome DJ accompanied by amazing musical performances, lots of activities for the little ones as well as vendor area.
All proceeds benefit the Brittany Fund for Trauma and Recovery with the mission of providing support to promote the health and wellbeing of families and individuals that have been affected by traumatic events.

Brittany Loring, a survivor of the Boston marathon bombing and the founder of the Brittany Fund for Trauma and Recovery, knows all too well what it is like to go through a traumatic life changing event. She was grateful to receive a great amount of support to help her recovery and is dedicated to providing the same for others who find themselves in similar circumstances. WHAT IS NEW?
NEW 5K RUN!
We are happy to announce we will be adding a 5K Run to our events the year. This will be an officially timed race with male and female winners announced for each age category. We will also announce the Fastest Team (minimum of 10 runners per team).
NEW LOCATION!
We are also very excited to have the Applewild School in Fitchburg, MA hosting our event this year!
PARKING INFO
There is limited parking at the event site. Please follow the signs and instructions of our volunteers that will be direction you to our parking locations. Parking will be available at the Applewild Schools bottom parking lot with additional parking at the Community Health Connections (old Burbank Hospital) building about 5 minute walk from the school.
AWARDS
5K RUN AWARDS
The new 5K Run will be officially timed and male and female winners (top 3 in each category) in the following age categories will be announced: Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and over 60.
5K RUN FASTEST TEAM AWARD
The fastest team from our 5K Run will be announced as well. Each team needs at least 10 runners to be considered an official team and to have their team name on the back of the race t-shirts. If team has more then 10 runners the 10 fastest runners times will be counted in.
2.62 MILE WALK
Just as in the previous years we will be awarding the team with most participants for the 2.62 Mile Walk event

KIDS FUN RUN
As in the previous years we will be offering FREE Kids Fun Run that will be about 1/3 of a mile long loop on the school grounds. No pre-registration is necessary, however parents/guardians will be asked to sign a liability release form the day of the event. The forms will be available at the registration table during packet pick up and at the day of the event. This run is recommended for children age 1-12.
