Once participants cross the finish line they will be rewarded with an epic after-party on The Brunswick patio. COURSE MAP COMING SOON!!

TEAMS:

It is not required you join a team but we suggest that you rally up your friends and family and make a beach day out of it! Three racers are required to qualify for team awards. There are three divisions (male, female and co-eds) that will each receive separate awards. There is no maximum number for team members to be on a team. Teams are not required to finish together and if your team would like to start altogether in the same wave, make sure to all select the same wave time.

To ensure that the discount will be applied, 1 person must sign up 3 or more team members at the same time. Do not hesitate to contact us at info@raidevents.com for any questions!

WHAT TO BRING:

You do NOT have to bring a copy of your ticket. Once you go through the registration process, we will have all your information and you will be all set to go on race day!
We will have a gear check to hold small belongings in a large Ziploc bag.(Photo ID, cell phone, wallet, etc). We do not suggest you bring large backpacks to the event (in fact they are not allowed and we cannot hold them for you -- security reasons!)

IS THERE SWIMMING INVOLVED?

There is no swimming required at Beach RAID! There is one section of the course where you will cross shallow water but it is only about a foot and a half deep.

SHOES OR NO SHOES?

That is the ultimate question when it comes to Beach RAID! And the answer is up to you! Shoes may hinder your running ability in deep sand and the opportunity to become one with nature but every Beach RAID runner has a different strategy. If you decide to run with shoes and want to ditch them halfway through, we will have staff collect all shoes from the Beach RAID course. (We are not responsible for shoes lost at sea).

START TIMES:

You will be able to choose your wave time during the registration process. Following the BeachKIDS race, waves will start at 10:30AM sharp and continue every 5 minutes from there. To ensure that your team will start together, you all must select the same wave time during registration.

DISCOUNTS:

The RAID offers several discounts for racers: Military: All active military members will receive $20 off the registration fee for Standard entry. Racers must bring military ID to packet pickup. Please e-mail info@raidevents for more details. Student: All students (high school, undergraduate, graduate) will receive $15 off the registration fee for Standard entries. Racers must bring student ID to packet pickup.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT COMPLETE AN OBSTACLE?

Racers are required to complete all obstacles before continuing on the race. Staff will be stationed at each obstacle to ensure that no racers are skipping obstacles. In the event that racers cannot complete, they will be assessed a penalty in the form of an alternate obstacle or 10 burpees.

PACKET PICKUP:

Packet Pickup will be held the day the Friday beforehand and also on race day morning. We will be announcing the hours and location closer to the event.

BeachKIDS Race!
You (and your kids!) asked and Beach RAID answered. This year for the first time we will be offering a special BeachKIDS race on a modified course that will take off before the regular race. BeachKIDS will be open to children ages 6-12 and will be a great way for those kiddos to burn some energy and have a great time doing it. The cost of the race will be $15 and is available as an add on (along with the BeachRAID Bootcamp clinics) during registration.
Volunteers!
The Beach RAID and BeachKids races absolutely need volunteers for the races. We love individuals and groups that want to come out and help during the race. All volunteers get a shirt and two beer tickets for the after-party once the race is over. Unfortunately, volunteers aren't able to also race as we need volunteers from 9:30am-12:30pm during the race. If you have any questions, email us at info@raidevents.com and sign up above to volunteer for the Beach RAID!
