About the Heritage Hero 5K + Mile Stroll & Roll
The Heritage Hero event is a one mile walk and a 5K that supports more than 1,800 children and adults with developmental disabilities. The event is held at Monroe Community College in Brighton.

Heroes are those who make us proud and help us become better people. Their warm spirit and positive outlook on life inspires everyone around them. Honor a family member enlisted in the armed forces, or a survivor of a serious illness. Maybe you’ll participate for a loved one whose spirit burns brightly despite their passing. WHO IS YOUR HERO YOU’LL BE HONORING?

5K Course
The 3.1 mile course is fast and fairly flat as it wraps the MCC campus.
Wheelchair and Hand Cycle Divisions
We are offering both wheelchair and hand cycle divisions! Start time for racers in these categories will be at 8:25am.
T-shirts
Every racer will get a cotton t-shirt. If you'd like to get a tech shirt, you can upgrade and order one for just $5!

Awards
There will be LOTS of awards!

EVERY finisher will receive a medal hand made by the men and women supported by Heritage Christian Services.

Prizes will be awarded to:
*Overall male and female
*Masters male and female
*Wheelchair male and female
*Hand Cycling male and female

Prizes to the top three winners, male and female, in each category:
*14 and under
*25-19
*20-29
*30-39
*40-49
*50-59
*60-69
*70 and up
Family Party
After the awards, please stay for the 1 mile walk around campus, a picnic lunch, live music and LOTS of fun!
Parking
There is plenty of free parking on campus. Parking lot G will be the main area.
Kids Fun Run
The kids run is a free one mile or half mile race for kids 12 and under. All participants will receive a finishers medal! Kids can also order a cotton t-shirt for just $5!

I certify that the walker, runner and athlete using a wheelchair is in good health and capable of walking, running or wheeling this distance.
