About This Event
All proceeds from the 5K race benefit the Jaffrey Firefighters Company Inc., a fundraising and support organization for the Jaffrey NH Fire Department. The Jaffrey Firefighters Company, Inc., is a volunteer organization made up of the firefighters, their families and members of the community who give their time in support of the Fire Department. This allows the Fire Department to acquire items that cannot be purchased within the town's budget.
The Jaffrey Fire Department is made up of a full-time Fire Chief and 25 on-call members serving the town of Jaffrey, NH. They provide fire prevention, suppression, rescue, EMS, public service and education.
Day of the race registration will begin at 8:00 AM, and the race will begin at 9:00 AM
The Course
5k Run/walk mixed cross country terrain including hard pack trails, wooded terrain, mild hills, and possibly some mud. It is a mostly wide trail. Timed event results will be posted after the race.
Cost
Pre-registration entrance fee is $20.00. ***Please note there is a $2.75 registration fee for ages 16+, and $2.25 for ages 9-16 when you pre-register***Day of the race registration is $25.00. Kids ages 9-16 are $10, and anyone under the age of 9 is free. The first 100 participants registered will receive a free t-shirt.
What should I bring?
Please bring appropriate clothing for the weather on that day, and good running shoes.
What will be offered?
There are restrooms available at the beginning and end of the course. Complimentary water and snacks will also be available. There will be prizes for male and female winners of the overall race and 5 different age groups. A 50/50 raffle will also be offered.
Where do I park?
Parking is available at Jaffrey Rindge Middle School, across from Union Street. There will be signs to designate parking. Please car pool if possible.
Should I bring my animal?
Due to the nature of the trails, we advise against bringing animals.
After the Race
Please stick around after the race, as we will be giving out awards once every runner has completed the race.
