About This Event
The MA Probation Service 5K Road Race will be held in Clinton, MA on Saturday, October 15th. The event will include a 5K Road Race, a 5K Walk, a Children's Fun Run, Children's Activities and a Canned Food Drive to benefit the Wheat Community Connections Program's Food Pantry ( There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in the day's activities, whether you run, walk, bring your family or volunteer. This is a rain or shine event.

Race Day Registration- 9:00 to 10:30 A.M.
Children's Fun Run Start Time- 10:00 A.M.
5K Walk Start Time- 10:30 A.M.
5K Road Race Start Time- 11:00 A.M.
Children's Activities- 10:15 A.M.
Post Race Food- 11:30 A.M.

Please note that you'll be able to electronically register for the race through 12:00 P.M. on Friday, 10/14/16. You may also register for the race in person on Saturday, 10/15/16 starting at 9:00 A.M.
The race course will start and finish at Central Park which is located at 242 Church Street in Clinton (next to the Clinton Police Department). The walk and the children's fun run will also start and finish at Central Park.
Medals will be provided to the winners of various categories for the 5K race and the children's fun run
Those registering for the race will automatically be asked if they'd like to purchase a t-shirt as a part of the registration process.

If you're not interested in registering for any of the events, but still wish to purchase a t-shirt you may choose the "Purchase Additional T-Shirts"option at the bottom of the page.

T-shirts will be purchased via the online RaceWire registration and will be available for pick up before and after the race. More pick up details will be made available as the event date approaches.

The deadline for ordering t-shirts is September 26th. You may still register for the event after September 26th but you will not have the option to purchase a t-shirt.
Number Pick-up
Participants will be able to pick-up numbers at designated locations prior to the race. Day of event number pick-up will also be available. Details to follow.

From Boston and Points East

Take the Mass Pike (Interstate 90) westbound to exit 11A North. Merge onto 495 North and take exit 26 toward Route 62 West. Follow Route 62 into the center of Clinton (about 6 miles). At the "Welcome to Clinton" sign, bear left onto Mechanic Street, then a sharp right at the stop sign onto Union Street. Central Park will be on your left and the Museum of Russian Icons will be the brick building on your right.

From Lowell and Points North

Take route 495 South to exit 27 Route 117. Follow Route 117 West towards Bolton for about 4 miles. Take a left at the traffic light onto Route 110 West/Still River Road and follow for 1.5 miles to a yellow blinking light at a 5-point intersection. Continue through the light onto High Street (you're still on Rt 110.) Continue on High Street/110 for 3.5 miles, till High Street ends at Union Street. Turn left onto Union, staying left at the split in the road. The Museum of Russian Icons will be the brick building on the right and the park will be on your left.

From Springfield and Points West

Take the Mass Pike (Interstate 90) East to exit 10 towards Marlborough/New Hampshire/Maine to Route 290 East. Follow 290 East to exit 23B and merge onto Route 140 North. Follow for about 2 miles, and turn right onto Route 70 N. Follow Rt 70 about 7 miles into Clinton. At the "Welcome to Clinton" sign, bear left onto Mechanic Street, then a sharp right at the stop sign onto Union Street. The Museum of Russian Icons will be the brick building on the right and the park will be on your left.

From Route 2

Take exit 35 from East or West towards Lunenburg/Lancaster/Route 70 South. After 3.6 miles, turn left at the stop sign to briefly merge onto Route 117 before taking a right back onto Route 70. Continue on Route 70 (now Main Street) towards Lancaster/Clinton for 4 miles, and turn left at Union Street (the 3rd left after passing under the railroad bridge). Stay left at the split in the road. The Museum of Russian Icons will be the brick building on the right and the park will be on your left.

The Clinton Police Department is located at the above address and is directly across the street from Central Park.
Street parking is available on the perimeter of the park on Union, Church, and Walnut Streets. A free public parking lot is also located on Walnut Street between the First Congregational Church and the Baptist Church. Additionally, road race parking will be available along Chestnut Street.
Post Race Food
Commissioner Dolan and his executive team will be providing food after the race. Food will start to be served at 11:30 A.M.
Children's Activities
An array of children's activities will be available in the park including pumpkin painting and games
Food Drive
We will be collecting nonperishable food items to donate to the Wheat Community Cupboard food pantry in Clinton, MA. Please consider bringing donations with you. Information about the Wheat Community Cupboard can be found by clicking on the link below.
Lodging + Early Registration
For those wishing to stay in the area, there is a special group rate available at The International in Bolton which is a 10 minute drive to Central Park in Clinton. I know that walking, running and participating in this event is potentially hazardous. I should not enter and walk/run this event unless I am medically able and properly trained. Employees, if injured, would not be entitled to worker’s compensation. I assume all risk associated with running and walking this event including, but not limited to injuries, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including the conditions of the roads and traffic on the course, and any lost property, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I grant permission to all the forgoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, records, verbal or written statements or any other record of this event with my likeness for any legitimate purpose without limitation or further compensation.
