About This Event
The Costumes for Cancer 5k Fun Run and 2.5k Walk benefits the John Estrella Foundation for Cancer Research, which provides research grants supporting local hospitals in their fight against kidney cancer.

Costumes optional. Having fun for a great cause? Mandatory.

5k Start time - 10:20 (sleep in!)
2.5k walk will start several minutes afterwards.
Post-race
Through the generosity of local businesses, all runners and walkers will enjoy a post-race "trick or treat" adventure. Grab the treat map in your race bag and follow it to highlighted businesses to enjoy your treat. Offered so far:

Cityside Bar - a complimentary beverage
Kung Foo Tea - a medium tea
The Real Deal deli - a free slice of cheese pizza to the first 80 participants who enter
Cleveland Convenience - a bottle of water and energy bar
Jade Monkey - a free draft beer to the first 80 participants who enter
Waterworks Museum - assorted chocolates to all trick or treaters!

Course
Race around the beautiful Chestnut Hill Reservoir! 5k is a double loop. 2.5 walk single.
T-Shirts
In an effort to limit event costs for this charity run, t-shirts are optional. Have a wardrobe bursting with barely worn race t-shirts? Enjoy your savings on the reduced registration fee and just say no to more closet clutter. Want a shirt to celebrate your accomplishment? Purchase your long sleeve tech shirt for $6 during registration and brag about the bargain.

Parking and Transportation.
The race is on a Sunday, so you can park anywhere you can find a spot near the reservoir or in the public lots in the surrounding area.

Don't want to drive? The race is T accessible! Take the Green Line ‘C’ branch to Cleveland Circle. After exiting the MBTA walk 200 feet east on Beacon Street. Cross Chestnut Hill Avenue at the lights. Or take the 51 bus to Cleveland Circle.

Number Pick-Up
We will be hosting a pre-race bib pick-up at the Marathon Sports in Brookline from 11am-2pm on Saturday, October 29th. Grab your bib early to avoid the lines on race day and enjoy a 20% discount in the store while you're there!

   Individual Registration: Register as an individual participant.
