Event Information
Race Day Planning
The race begins at 9:00AM on Sunday May 7th. The race site, including day-of registration opens at 7:00am. Parking is available at Thayer Academy and Thayer Public Library
Shirt and Bib pick-up
Pre-registered runners: Saturday May 6, 2017 from 12pm to 4pm at Marathon Sports on Washington Street in Norwell. Shirts and bibs may also be picked up starting at 7 AM on race day.
Online Registration
ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS AT MIDNIGHT ON 5/4.

If you are unable to register online, you may register the evening before the race at bib-pick up, or the morning of the race.



Course
The 5k road race goes through the heart of Braintree. The mostly flat course starts at historic Braintree Town Hall, passing through South Braintree Square, near Sunset Lake, up Franklin St to Five Corners before heading up the hill on West St and back to Washington Street to Town Hall. And yes, we added an extra loop around the Town Hall Drive to get it to 5k.
Prizes
First male and first female runners to complete the 5k course win $100. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place male and female runners under age 12 for both the 5k and 1 mile course, as well as for top male and female teen 5k finishers.
