Purple Ribbon Mother's Day 5K Run/2 mile walk
Sunday, May 14, 2017 ~ 9 a.m.
Please join us for this fun community event to support the Cadorette Fund for Malignant Thymoma Research at Mass. General Hospital & the Michelle L. Cadorette Scholarship Fund awarded to graduating Bow High School Seniors.
This is a chip-timed 5K run, and a 2 mile untimed walk with great prizes and refreshments! Free registration for participants 12 and under.
If you are unable to attend the event, but wish to donate to the Cadorette Fund, you may do so at the registration site.
The first 100 on-line paid registrants get race swag!
Directions
Take Interstate 93 to Interstate 89. Take Exit 1.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Logging Hill Road. Proceed
approximately 9/10ths of a mile to the intersection of Logging Hill Road and
White Rock Hill Road (at Bow Fire Station). Turn right onto White Rock Hill
Road and proceed approximately 2/10ths of a mile to Bow High School.
About the Purple Ribbon Run
The tradition began in 2003 and continues each year. Each year’s Purple Ribbon Run/Walk benefits the Cadorette Fund for Thymoma Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Michelle L. Cadorette Scholarship Fund at Bow High School. The generosity of the Bow High School community and the proceeds from this event have helped establish a tissue bank at MGH to study this rare form of cancer, support genetic testing and to work toward a cure.
About Michelle Cadorette
Michelle was a cherished member of the Bow community. She taught English and coached X-Country and Track; her most memorable moments were seeing her students and athletes excel in ways they did not think possible. Her legacy of optimism and caring for each other remains with all who were fortunate to have known her.
