COURSE - Riverdale Park, Anaheim
Anaheim Semper 5K:
This is an out-and-back 5k (3.1 mi.) course running along side the beautiful Santa Ana River. This course is primarily on the unpaved Santa Ana River Trail (SART) that parallels the paved SART bikeway east of Riverdale Park. The course travels east, initially on the bikeway continues on the unpaved SART to the 5k turnaround at the approx 1.55 mi. point, just before Imperial Hwy. The course follows the same path on the return, and enters Riverdale Park through the gate at its northeast end and continues approx. 100 feet to the finish line on the field.
Anaheim Semper 10K:
This is a double out-and-back (O&B)10k (6.2 mi.) course consisting of 1.55 mi.
out-and-back (3.1 mi. total) east of Riverdale Park and 1.55 mi. out-and-back (3.1 mi. total) west of Riverdale Park on primarily the unpaved the Santa Ana River Trail (SART). The first half of the course coincides with the 5K course described above, but passes the turnoff into Riverdale Park to the 5K finish line and continues west on the SART to the turnaround just past Orange Olive Road. The course follows the same path on the return, and enters Riverdale Park through the gate at its northeast end and continues approximately 100 feet to the finish line inside the park.

EAST ANAHEIM COMMUNITY CENTER (8201 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd, Anaheim Hills) from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 18th OR 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Friday, May 19th. You can also pick up your race packet at Riverdale Park on the morning of the event starting at 6:00 AM; however, availability of all t-shirt sizes may be limited on race day and is not guaranteed. Please bring proof of registration (copy of your confirmation email) with you to expedite the pick-up process. Note that free bag check service will be available to all participants at the event.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
The 2017 Anaheim Semper 5K & 10K is sponsored by the Anaheim 13th MEU Adoption Committee. Established in 2007, when the City of Anaheim officially adopted the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) at Camp Pendleton, this volunteer-based, citizen-run 501(c)(3) group provides meaningful support to the Marines and Sailors of the 13th MEU and their family members.
All event proceeds will provide family financial assistance, purchase sporting equipment, subsidize holiday events, and otherwise directly benefit the members of the 'Fighting 13th' and their families.

I fully understand that I will be engaging in activities that involve risk of bodily injury or death, including economic losses, and which might result in my death or injury, as well as damages including medical and hospital bills, wage loss, temporary or permanent full or partial disability, and/or damage to my property, arising from my participation in the event.
Recognizing the foregoing, I nonetheless freely and voluntarily assume all risk of participation in the event.
I hereby warrant, covenant, and agree to acquit, release, relinquish, waive and discharge and promise to hold harmless, defend and indemnify the ANAHEIM SEMPER 5K & 10K, Anaheim Marine Adoption Committee, the City of Anaheim, and their respective officers, directors, officials and organizers, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and each affiliated entity from any and all liability, loss, damage, claim, suit or demand arising from or attributable to my participation in this event.
I also warrant that I am in good health and have no physical condition that would prevent me from participating in the event.

I agree that photographs, pictures, slides, movies or videos of me may be taken, and used, in connection with my participation in the event without compensation from the event sponsors, organizers, beneficiaries or their permittees and further consent to the use of photographs, pictures, slides, movies or videos for any legal purpose.
