About This Event
This fun run/walk, organized by the Montlake Community Club, takes place in the Seattle Neighborhood of Montlake on Thanksgiving morning. The course begins near Fuel Coffee Shop (24th and E. Lynn St), heads into the Arboretum via E. Lynn Street and makes a scenic loop through the Arboretum. Net proceeds will be donated to the University District Food Bank.
No dogs allowed. Strollers permitted, but parts of the course through the arboretum may be difficult to navigate with a stroller.
We encourage participants to walk, bike, or carpool if possible. There is parking on residential streets as well as in the Arboretum gift shop parking lot. We have also arranged with the Greek Orthodox Church for participants to use their lot.

Kids races will start at 10:30AM in the arboretum. Start line will be at the tot lot and make a loop around the Pinetum. Kids 4 and under will run one loop (1/2 mile), kids 5+ will run the loop twice to make 1 mile. Age groups will be 0-4 (1/2 mile), 5-7, 8-10, and 10+.
Please see registration page for course routes. The 5K race will start and finish near Fuel Coffee shop on Lynn St. and makes a scenic loop through the Arboretum. Here is a link to the live google map:
Only the 5K will be timed. Rivalry Events is donating their time and equipment to time the race using chips. We ask that you follow a few instructions:
1. Don't bend the chip tags as they can break.
2. Wear it on your right shoelace. Let it be dangling and loose along the right side of the shoe, not tucked into the laces.
3. Please turn the tags in after the race. Near the finish area their will be a bin to put them in and a volunteer helping collect them.
We won't have waves, but it will be a narrow start due to the rather narrow course, so please line up based on how fast you expect to run the race (under 7:30 mile in front and walkers in the back).
