The fees are: $40 for the 5K & $25 for the 1-Mile Run (Cash, check and credit cards accepted). Please note that any runner under the age of 18 must have their registration form signed by a parent or guardian.
About the Event
The Run Like a Maverick 5K, Mile Run and Kids' Fun Run was established in memory of Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel (May 2, 1998 - February 12, 2014) to benefit the Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship at Montrose School.
Beginning in 2017, the Run Like a Maverick 5K will benefit the Elizabeth Schickel Foundation, whose primary beneficiaries are the Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship at Montrose School, and The Montrose LifeCompass Character Institute, which provides character education programs for teachers, parents and students.

5K Road Race, 1 Mile Run and Kids Fun Run Participants: I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. In registering for this event, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, and am in good health, and I am properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that this is an organized event and I will abide by all rules of the race and listen to all event representatives. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself, and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Montrose School, The Elizabeth Schickel Foundation, all sponsors, the organizers of this event, and the town of Medfield, MA, as from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that refunds are at the discretion of the event directors up to April 24th, following April 24th, refunds will not be extended.
