The Western Greenway 5K is trail route starting and finishing at Elsie Turner Field on Trapelo Road in Waltham. The Western Greenway features miles of trails and old carriage roads which loop through a variety of habitats: including cattail marshes, red maple swamps, mature oak-hickory forests, vernal pools, new forests, and open meadows. The course is rocky and unpaved, therefore strollers or baby joggers are not allowed on the course.
