About This Event
Join us for a Veterans 5k Walk/Run & Classic Car Show! Stay afterwards for great vendors, music and cars.. This is an official City of Menifee 10th anniversary event and will be held at Mt. San Jacinto Menifee campus. Walk or run at your own pace - this is a family, festive event.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and swag bag (available 2 days prior for pick up at the Menifee Community Services Department or the day of the race). Those who complete the walk/run will receive a commemorative medal and a link for photos to cherish.
Be sure to wear your red, white, and blue to show your spirit!
All proceeds support military families, deployed troops, and veterans through the Valley Resource Center, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. If you are unable to attend, you still have the option to be a virtual runner to take part in the excitement and show your support!
Race Times & Course Information
The course is a 5k run/walk starting at Mt. San Jacinto College, running around the classic car show, down Antelope Road and back in Menifee. Run or walk it at your own pace.
Q. When is the Race?
The Race will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018.
5:00 AM: Vendors arrive and set up. Volunteers arrive and check in.
6:00 AM: Registration OPENS - Packet Pick up (also available for pick up at Menifee Community Services Oct 5th & 6th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
6:30 AM: Pre-race warm-up by Camp Transformation Menifee
6:45 AM: Paloma Valley NJROTC Color Guard, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem
6:55 AM Anahi Rodriguez - God Bless America
7:00 AM: Race STARTS
8:00 AM: Music, Vendors, Food, Car Show open to all
11:00 AM: Car Show & Vendor Booths close

Virtual Runner $50 (The virtual run race is perfect for those who can’t make the race but still want to earn a medal. Participant will choose their own date and location to run the distance on their own through the “honor” system and receive their custom event shirt and medal in the mail. You will be able to pick up your packets at Early Packet Pick Up location or if you need it mailed, we will mail it the Wednesday following the event. Shipping fee applies).

You will get a custom bib number, a commemorative Veterans 5K t-shirt, a medal, a swag bag filled with patriotic & nutritional goodies (valued at $600 or more), and a great feeling!

Q. How long is the Race?
The Race is a 5K route, which is approximately 3.1 miles. You may choose to walk or run at your own pace. If you are unable to walk or run, you can still register as a virtual runner and join us on Race Day to receive a t-shirt and all the benefits. We are always looking for people to cheer on our runners and walkers.

Q. What if it rains?
The Valley Resource Center holds the right to cancel or change the date or location of the Race in its sole discretion, including in the circumstance of extreme weather. It is likely, however, that the event will happen rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
